36 Weeks Plus a Few

So here I am...........huge!! We finally have the baby's room 80% complete. We went to the Dr yesterday and we are still 3cm and 90% effaced. If her prediction is true, we should meet this little one in less than 7 days. We will see what God says, he he. The joys of labor.....swollen feet, swollen hands, the infamous "waddle". I am experiencing them all :) We are starting to wonder if we will have an Easter baby. I think it would be awesome. We are also wondering if we will have an April Fools baby. I can just hear the phone calls now...."April Fools...we just had a baby". We are praying that this baby might visit us before her due date. April 24th just seems too far away! But, if that is how long she needs to finish "cooking in the crock pot", then so be it. We are getting excited, but anxious. We know it is in God's hands and we know that we have many praying for us. Hopefully my next blog will be eventful!!! Until then...

News

On Tuesday, we went to the doctor for my "strep test". While we were there, my Doctor decided to check me. I am currently 3 centimeters dilated and 90% effaced!! She said that if contractions start...to come in immediately. I think Linn is more excited. I am feeling overwhelmed. But, I remember that God is in control and he never gives us more than we can handle. So....please keep us in your prayers. We thought we wouldn't meet our baby until the end of April and our Doctor thinks we will see her in the next two weeks. :)

35 Weeks and Counting

So here we are.....five weeks to go. I can't believe that time has flown so fast. I guess working full time really helps keep you occupied. I plan to work until my due date, that is unless she comes later. I feel like these next few weeks will take a long time....but then I realize how little a five week span of time really is. I was excited to have a shower the weekend of the 6th at Church with friends and Linn's side of the family. We were able to get things like her car seat, the extra base, her high chair, one of our strollers, and tons and tons of clothing and necessities. Then, the next weekend was a shower in Murrells Inlet with my family. We received our jogging stroller, a handmade blanket, crib accessories and a beautiful picture to put in her room (with a lot of other things). I can't get over how much stuff a little baby needs!!! I am so blessed to have so many good friends and a wonderful family too.

My mom and dad will be coming down next weekend to help me organize her room. Now that we have a lot of things, I have to figure out where to put them. Then, we start going to the doctor weekly next Tuesday. I guess that will also help me realize the closeness of her arrival.

I am looking forward to a shower that my coworkers will be throwing me on the 31st as well! I guess it is one thing that I can look forward to prior to her arrival!
